ICC World Cup 2023 India vs England

Be it batting first or chasing, be it a low total or a high-scoring match, it looks like India learned how to clinch a win despite conditions. India continued its unbeaten feat in the World Cup 2023 and troubled England to win by 100 runs. Rohit Sharma (87) led from the front to document their sixth straight win. Indian bowlers bowled with utmost discipline to defend 229 and bundled England at just 129 to give another upset to England. With this win, team India not only is on the top of the points table but remained the only unbeaten side so far in the championship.

India will face its neighbor Sri Lanka this Thursday, Nov 2.

Match 28, Netherlands vs Bangladesh ICC World Cup

The Netherlands displayed a spectacular performance against Bangladesh to win match 28 by 87 runs. Bangladesh looked in complete control in the first innings when they bowled out the Dutch for a mere 229.   Wesley Baressi (41) and Scott Edwards (68), Sybrand Engelbrecht (35), and Logan van Beek (23) were the only batters to counter the Bangladeshi bowling unit.

In what could be an easy chase, Bangladesh failed to tackle the Netherlands bowlers. Except for Mehidy Hasan, no other batter stood firm and collapsed at 142. This is Bangladesh's fifth loss in a row, and their chances to move to the next level are almost vanished.

Cricket World Cup 2023 Match 27, Australia vs New Zealand

After South Africa vs Pakistan, this was another mouth-watering clash in the tournament. In a must-win game, Australia defeated New Zealand by 5 runs and registered a memorable win. With this win, the Aussies have kept their hopes alive in the championship. Mitchell Starc bowled a stunning final over and handed over the Kiwis their second loss in the World Cup. After starting well and continuing the momentum till the end, New Zealand failed to cross the finish line and had another heartbreak.

Batting first, Australia managed to put a mammoth 388 on the scoreboard. David Warner (81) and Travis Head (109) provided a fantastic start to keep the scoreboard ticking. Glenn Maxwell, Josh Inglis, and Pat Cummins ensured they put in maximum runs.

Although the Kiwis lost their openers early, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell gave the start they wanted. James Neesham tried his best, but his run out at a crucial juncture cost them the match.

ICC World Cup 2023 Match 22 Pakistan vs Afghanistan Updates

Afghanistan once again initiated another upset in the World Cup 2023. First England and this time, it was Pakistan at the receiving end. For the first time, Afghanistan registered a win against Pakistan in the ODIs. To grab their maiden victory, that too in a World Cup, will always be etched in the annals of their history. Afghanistan chased 282 with 6 balls to spare and clinched their second win in the tourney.

Batting first, Pakistan had a good start but couldn't capitalize on the start. The lack of big innings and a solid partnership caused Pakistan to lose another game. This is their third loss in a row that complicated their chances of remaining active in the tournament. Pakistan's bowling line-up failed to show any impact on Afghanistan. Pakistan will play South Africa on Friday.

ICC World Cup 2023 Match 21 India vs New Zealand Updates

The two unbeaten teams in the tourney so far, India and New Zealand faced each other in match 21. Team India continued its winning spree and handed the Kiwis their first defeat. Indian bowlers got rid of the openers early but Rachin Ravindra (75) and Daryl Mitchell (130) took on them later to put up 273 on board.

India had a solid start with skipper Rohit (46) and Shubman (26) giving a fiery start. Virat Kohli (95) once again played a responsible innings to guide India to another win. Kohli missing his 49th ODI century by 5 runs was the only disappointing thing for Indian fans. India will meet England on Sunday.

Cricket World Cup 2023 Match 20 South Africa vs England Updates

Who on Earth has thought that England will sit at the bottom of the points table before the World Cup? England, known for its fearless cricket, has failed to display its domination in the championship. England lost miserably to South Africa by a huge margin of 229 runs. With back-to-back losses, England is withering its chances in the tournament.

Although South Africa lost Quinton de Kock early, the next lined-up batters unleashed their beast mode and scored 399, the highest so far in the tourney. Heinrich Klaasen (109) and Marco Jansen (75) destroyed England's bowling in the last ten overs and hit the ball in every corner of the ground. The Proteas bowlers never allowed English batters to take on them and knocked them out for just 170. With an outstanding win, South Africa moved to the first half of the points table.

ICC World Cup 2023 Match 19 Sri Lanka vs Netherlands Updates

Sri Lanka registered its first win in the tournament and got off the mark in the World Cup. A big relief for Kusal Mendis and his men, the Lankans would undoubtedly want to take this momentum forward in the matches ahead. Sri Lanka's mighty middle order chipped in and built strong partnerships to take their team over the finish line. Sri Lanka will take on England on Thursday.

The Netherlands set a decent target of 262 for Sri Lanka despite their top-order failure. Sybrand Engelbrecht (70) and Logan van Beek (59) ensured they put up a competitive total but, in the end, it wasn't enough. The Dutch will face Australia in their next game.
